Where it started
My wife Lauren owns a fitness coaching business. Her programs kept growing: new cohorts, more coaches on the team, and dozens of people trusting them with real changes in their lives. Watching it grow was the fun part. Keeping track of everyone was not.
Every Sunday night
Behind the scenes it was spreadsheets, screenshots, and scattered messages. Coaches walked into calls trying to piece together how someone was really doing. We went looking for software built for this and found nothing that fit: it was all enterprise bloat, or form tools that dumped answers into a pile.
Nights and weekends
I build software for a living, so I started building her one. Not another dashboard: a tool shaped around how her coaches actually work. Check-ins that send themselves, every answer in one place, and the full picture of each person right there the moment a coach needs it.
Before long
Lauren’s coaches used it daily and told me exactly what was missing. A feature would ship in the evening and get tested by working coaches the next morning. That loop never really ended. It’s still how Rallycap gets built today.
Today
Coaches outside Lauren’s business saw it and wanted in, and the kitchen-table project became Rallycap. Underneath, it’s still the same tool: made for coaches who care about every name on their roster and want to walk into every conversation prepared.
